Who we are
KCS Real Estate Advisors (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2025/748953/07, trading as South Africa | Forbes Global Properties, is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA). The information we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect the details you give us, your name, email address, telephone number if provided, your message, and the property it concerns. We keep a record of our correspondence with you. Our hosting provider records standard technical information, such as IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. If you proceed to buy or sell a property through us, the Financial Intelligence Centre Act requires us to collect identity and verification information, and we will explain that process to you at the time.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange viewings.
- To provide our property brokerage services.
- To meet our legal obligations, including client verification required by law.
- To send you marketing only where you have agreed to receive it. You can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that run this website and our client records, hosting and security, email delivery, and our client relationship system, with accredited verification providers where the law requires screening, with our professional advisers, and with authorities where disclosure is required by law. We do not sell personal information.
Where it is kept
Some of our service providers store information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we use providers whose safeguards meet the requirements of section 72 of POPIA for cross border transfers.
Visitors from the EEA and the United Kingdom
If you contact us from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your enquiry on the basis that it is necessary to respond to your request and, for any later engagement, to perform a contract with you. We send marketing only with your consent. You may exercise your rights of access, correction, deletion and objection by writing to [email protected].
Cookies
This site uses only strictly necessary cookies, one that manages site access and the Cloudflare Turnstile service that protects our enquiry form from automated abuse. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Security and retention
We protect personal information with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit. We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above, except where the law requires longer retention, for example records kept under the Financial Intelligence Centre Act.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, request access to it, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing, and withdraw any consent you have given. Write to [email protected] and we will respond. Our Information Officer can be reached at the same address. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
